- From Preliminary Human Factors Guidelines for Traffic Management Centers (July 1999) FHWA, U.S. DoT
When people stand normally (i.e., with some slump), their eye height lowers by about 1.6 in (4.1 cm) for males and by about 1.2 in (3.0 cm) for females.
Extrapolating from the data, male/female eye height is ∼95%/∼97% of stature.
